The Federation brings together all insurance and reinsurance companies operating in France under the Insurance Code—253 companies representing over 99% of the market.
The Federation’s member companies include public limited companies, mutual insurance companies with or without intermediaries, and branches of foreign companies.
Additionally, insurance or reinsurance companies and groups of any kind, including capitalization companies, that operate in the French market under the freedom to provide services, as defined by the European insurance and reinsurance directives, may be admitted as correspondents of the Federation.
The Federation’s member companies have established ethical commitments formalized in a code of conduct. This set of commitments aims to ensure that policyholders receive a level of information that exceeds the legal or regulatory requirements regarding the handling of their requests and cases.
